The MiFriendly Cities funded migrant lead ‘social innovation’ community projects have formed a Network of projects and are looking for a consultant ‘Network Development Officer’ to help the Network to reach it’s full potential. The Network Development Officer will help the Network to work together effectively; to identify and create strategic opportunities; to build relationships; to plan for sustainability; and to define and communicate it’s identity. MigrationWork CIC was commissioned by the Open Society Foundation to organize and facilitate a round table in May 2017 and produce a report on “Firewalling to Protect”. The report looked at child protection, policing and crime, and health, all areas in which concerns about the involvement of immigration enforcement have been raised. read more

The SLF is about to come to the end of its pilot period, and now has the results of an independent evaluation commissioned by the funders. The evaluation was very positive, and recommended seeking additional funding to continue the work and develop the model.
